Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.
Dialectical behavior therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy that began with efforts to treat borderline personality disorder. There is evidence that DBT can be useful in treating mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and for change in behavioral patterns such as self-harm.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences.
We Offer Evidence-based Treatment For Mental Health Issues
We provide exceptional mental health care for mild and moderate treatment to adults, children, and adolescents in Modesto, Merced, and Turlock. We accept HPSJ and CCAH Insurances.
People with gender dysphoria may often experience significant distress and problems functioning associated with the conflict between the way they feel, how they think of themselves, and their physical or assigned gender.
Play therapy is different because the therapist helps a child address and resolve their own problems. Play provides a safe psychological distance from a child’s problems and allows expression of thoughts and feelings.
Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.
Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD) is a condition in which a child is chronically irritable and experiences frequent, severe temper outbursts that seem out of proportion to the situation at hand.
Anxiety disorders are the most common of mental disorders and affect nearly 30 percent of adults at some point in their lives. Anxiety disorders can get better with professional treatment and effective therapies are available.
People who experienced a trauma may have intense, disturbing thoughts and feelings related to their experience. They may relive the event through flashbacks or nightmares; and feel sadness, fear or anger - ultimately detached or estranged from other people.
