I am currently registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working with children, adolescents, teens, adults, couples and families. I have earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and my Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s College of California. I completed my internship through Sierra Vista Child and Family Services where I worked with children ages 5-18 experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, PTSD, abuse, adjustment issues, school-related stressors, and other trauma related issues. My passion is working with individuals of all ages to address current and past trauma that has impacted overall well-being.
My goal in working with each individual is to create a collaborative treatment plan together with the client in the driver's seat. I believe each individual is the expert in their own lives and each person possess' the strength and ability to create change and healing in order to become the best version of themselves. I strive to create a safe, calming environment to encourage the vulnerability that is essential to healing. The techniques I often use in therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. I look forward to being alongside you in your healing journey.
